Lucas has started taking a few steps unassisted. This first started on Monday the 22nd when Tyler and Ashley were visiting. Pete and I were in the kitchen getting dinner ready when Tyler started yelling and asked when he started walking. Pete and I ran into the family room and tried to get him to do it again. He got a little more daring on Tuesday and that's when I got these two videos.  


Trying to get him to walk on video is nearly impossible. As soon as I turn the camera on all he does is sit and stare at me. Here are a two videos that at least show him making one or two steps. 

This second video shows his new favorite game: moving toys from one end of the fireplace to the other. It was adorable. At the very end he takes a couple of steps. I'll continue to try to get some video of him walking.

poor baby has roseola. five long days of a fever and now he has spots. hopefully he'll be back to his usual smiley self in a couple more days.

happy anniversary mama & dada

because i'm a big 1-year-old boy i thought i should get you something for your 7th anniversary. i couldn't think of a better gift than a compost bin! as you can see it took a lot of inside work to get it finished, but i'm happy with the way it turned out. i hope this makes the garden vegetables even tastier.
