a day at the park. Lucas adores the slide. Everytime we stick him at the top he breaks into a huge grin and then giggles the whole way down. His second favorite activity is picking up the bark in the play area and making piles of it on the sidewalk. Actually the bark may be his favorite.
he gets better and better everyday. still prefers to crawl when he wants to get somewhere quickly but he is getting braver and is taking more and more steps.
uncle derek taught lucas some new tricks while in holland. he now fake sneezes. lucas thinks derek's name is a sneeze because everytime derek walks into the room lucas smiles at him
Here is a video with all the little tricks Lucas has learned. In the beginning he does howl once. He doesn't really talk and is not yet walking but at least he can wave, clap, howl, snort, and blow kisses.
Lucas has started taking a few steps unassisted. This first started on Monday the 22nd when Tyler and Ashley were visiting. Pete and I were in the kitchen getting dinner ready when Tyler started yelling and asked when he started walking. Pete and I ran into the family room and tried to get him to do it again. He got a little more daring on Tuesday and that's when I got these two videos.
Trying to get him to walk on video is nearly impossible. As soon as I turn the camera on all he does is sit and stare at me. Here are a two videos that at least show him making one or two steps.
This second video shows his new favorite game: moving toys from one end of the fireplace to the other. It was adorable. At the very end he takes a couple of steps. I'll continue to try to get some video of him walking.
